Everton’s ladies will now play at Goodison Park after the team decided against demolishing the 132-year-old stadium.
This summer, the Blues will relocate to Bramley-Moore Dock, their new facility with 53,000 seats.
Everton’s former ownership group revealed plans for an £82 million post-demolition rehabilitation project at the Goodison site, which was supposed to feature homes, a care facility, retail spaces, and a park, while the building of the new facility on the Liverpool waterfront.
However, the club carried out a feasibility analysis regarding keeping the stadium as a home for the women’s team after being acquired by the private investment business The Friedkin Group in December, and they have since decided to keep running the facility.
