After the first day of negotiations between top U.S. and Chinese officials in Geneva to defuse tensions caused by his aggressive tariff rollout, US President Donald Trump welcomed early Sunday a “total reset” in US-China trade ties, according to AFP.
According to Trump, the talks were “very good” and “a total reset negotiated in a friendly, but constructive, manner.”
He stated, “We want to see, for the good of both China and the US, an opening up of China to American business,” in a Truth Social post published Saturday night in Washington.
