A legislative committee comprising prominent political heavyweights such as PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar met to deliberate on proposed constitutional reforms. Prior to finalizing the revisions, the meeting’s objectives were to address concerns and seek recommendations.
Although the government had presented its plan, no opposition group, including the JUI-F, has yet to submit its own ideas, according to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He stated that an agreement had been made to delay legislation until after the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit and mentioned that his party had shared their proposal with the JUI-F two weeks earlier.
He cautioned against any attempts to disrupt the process and asked the PTI to participate positively. While highlighting his dedication to a political agreement, he also underlined the necessity of patience.
