Jackson has been compared to Washington’s rookie sensation Daniels, but the two-time MVP emerged victorious as the Ravens defeated the Commanders 30-23 in Baltimore.
In an equal game, Daniels more than held his own while Jackson had 323 passing yards and a touchdown and Daniels threw for a season-high 269 yards and two scores. Both players made plays with their legs.
However, Washington was unable to match Derrick Henry, who made the difference with 132 rushing yards and two touchdowns, making Baltimore the first team to reach 150 yards or more in 1971.
