ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is prepared to host the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of Government meeting in the nation’s capital today and tomorrow (Tuesday and Wednesday).
The high-level meeting will be chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and the South Asian country has taken extensive preparations to guarantee a seamless event.
Prime ministers and other senior officials from the SCO’s member nations—Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and the First Vice President of Iran—will attend the summit.
Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of China, and S. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs, respectively, will also represent their respective nations.
