RAWALPINDI: According to information released on Friday, police have detained over 380 protestors who were students in Rawalpindi and have charged over 1,500 unidentified individuals in eight instances.
On Thursday, a sizable group of Rawalpindi students demonstrated against the purported rape of a college-bound girl in Lahore.
According to the police, the demonstrators broke Section 144, meddled in state affairs, set fire to and damaged property, and threw stones at police cruisers.
The protesters, according to the FIRs, attacked police officers, caused fear, and wrecked a hostel after breaking in with force. They also threw stones and broke into cars.
After using tear gas to scatter the children, the instructors and personnel who had been trapped inside the building were evacuated by the police.
