On the opening day of the first Test match against Bangladesh in Dhaka, he took three wickets, joining the game’s greats.
Additionally, the South African seamer’s record compares favorably to the others.
In his 65th Test match, Rabada has claimed his 300th wicket. This places him in seventh place among pace bowlers and tenth place overall.
Rabada, however, is the fastest bowler to reach the milestone, taking 11,817 balls in total.
That is 785 less than the legendary Waqar Younis of Pakistan.
Dale Steyn and Allan Donald, two of Rabada’s fellow South African quicks, are ranked third and fourth on the list, respectively, after requiring 12,605 and 13,672 balls to reach.
Rabada, who is 29 years and 149 days old, is also the eighth-youngest player to collect 300 Test wickets; India’s all-rounder Kapil Dev now holds the record.
In 1987, at the age of 27 years and 363 days, he achieved 300 Test wickets.
