Although Raphinha deserves praise for his incredible hat-trick, Marc Casado, Pedri, and Fermin Lopez’s tireless efforts in the center were the foundation of Barcelona’s victory.
Two of them are lucky to be in the side, and all three are only 21 years old.
“Those two would have played if Barcelona had the money,” Spanish football pundit Guillem Balague said on the Champions League Highlights show. “They would have kept Ilkay Gundogan and had Bernardo Silva.”
“Two of these three would have played before injured players like Frenkie de Jong, Andreas Christensen, and Gavi. Only Pedri would do it.
Pedri is partnered with Casado and Lopez, who are gradually becoming well-known.
Barcelona may have missed the ideal midfield trio after holding off Bayern’s seasoned combination of Thomas Muller, Joshua Kimmich, and Joao Palhinha, who have won 21 league titles between them.
