Ramiz Raja, the former chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has publicly responded to criticism of his contentious interview with Shan Masood, the captain of Pakistan’s Test team.
The interview, which was done with Zainab Abbas following the end of the Pakistan vs. England Test series, was heavily criticized, especially for Raja’s line of inquiry about Masood’s leadership during a difficult series.
The Pakistani national team had a terrible start to the series under Masood’s leadership, losing six straight games.
With spinners Sajid Khan and Noman Ali leading the attack against England, the squad recovered brilliantly and won the series at home for the first time in more than 1300 days.
