Authorities have altered school timetables in Lahore due to the poor air quality. Government schools will open at 8:45 a.m. today, and in order to reduce exposure to the harmful air, morning assemblies will be held indoors.
The Punjab Environment Protection Department instructed pertinent institutions to take immediate action in response to the increasing levels of air pollution on October 23. To shield young people and the elderly from the negative effects of smog, the government had declared modifications to the hours of schools.
To reduce children’s exposure to air pollution, the directives called for the suspension of all outside activities. Wearing masks and using the Environment Protection Department app to track daily AQI values are two preventative steps that authorities have advised the public to take.
