During Sunday’s Mexico City Grand Prix, Verstappen received a 20-second penalty for two different incidents involving title challenger Lando Norris.
Norris of McLaren, who called Verstappen’s driving “dangerous,” finished second, while the Dutchman finished sixth.
“He didn’t try to back off, turn the corner, or give Lando space. It was just a case of you not showing up.
“That second move was absolutely dumb and ridiculous. He drove Lando off the track as he accelerated to the apex, leaving Lando with little.
