In order to take part in the privatization of the national airline PIA, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has written to the minister of privatization once more.
The KP government explicitly said in its first letter on November 1 that it was prepared to make a competitive bid for PIA, exceeding the Blue World Consortium’s current maximum offer of Rs10 billion.
The vice-chairman of the KP Board of Investment and Trade (KP-BOIT), Hassan Masood Kunwar, wrote a follow-up letter to Federal Minister for Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan, stating that ten days had gone by since the original proposal and that the board was now looking for an update on the situation.
