Police are looking into claims that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s chief of staff changed documents on the October 7 Hamas attack to paint his employer in a more positive light.
According to Israeli media, Tzachi Braverman, one of Netanyahu’s closest advisors, spent more than five hours on Thursday being questioned by the Israeli police’s Lahav 433 major crimes unit.
According to detectives, an investigation is underway.
The main emphasis of the accusation is two phone calls that Netanyahu took on October 7, 2023, when the Hamas cross-border raid was taking place.
