Grocery stores nationwide are apparently facing a shortage of eggs owing to the avian flu, which might pose a major threat to some Americans.
While the majority of the country appears to have a steady supply of eggs, several regions are experiencing a dairy problem. The shortage was caused by rationing, higher egg costs, and empty shelves in some areas of Denver, Miami, and New York, according to News, according to Gizmodo.
On the other hand, specialists say that avian flu is the main cause of the shortage.
“The largest factor influencing egg prices at the moment is bird flu,” agricultural expert Bernt Nelson told News. Approximately 10 million birds have been impacted in the past few months alone.
