Barry Keoghan remembers fighting bugs that consume flesh.

The "Saltburn" actor, Barry Keoghan, has a tale to share about a terrifying disease that feeds on flesh and almost kills him. In an interview with GQ that was published on Tuesday, Keoghan discussed his struggle with necrotizing fasciitis, a rare bacterial infection that eats away at the skin, muscles, nerves, fat, and blood vessels surrounding an infected wound. Before the 2022 Oscar-nominated picture "The Banshees of Inisherin" started filming, Keoghan fell ill, and he stated that amputating the affected area "was on the table." He remembered inquiring of the physicians whether he would die, to which they had said, "Well, we don't know." The actor did not say where or how he contracted the infection. One of the germs that can cause what's well recognized.

Kaitlyn Dever to star in ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2

A new cast member is joining "The Last of Us." The makers of the popular HBO series have revealed that Kaitlyn Dever will be playing Abby. Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, the co-creators of the show, told Variety that "our casting process for season two has been identical to season one: we look for world-class actors who embody the souls of the characters in the source material." "We're happy to have an acclaimed performer like Kaitlyn join Pedro, Bella, and the rest of our family. Nothing matters more than talent." "Bella" is Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie in the program, and "Pedro" is Pedro Pascal, who plays Joel. Due to their roles in the popular show, they have both been nominated for accolades. Dever posted a screenshot of the narrative.

Cory Monteith’s ‘Glee’ characters say overdose storyline ‘hit a little too close to home’

Some of Cory Monteith's "Glee" castmates are discussing a plotline that they claim now impacts them differently, more than ten years after his passing. The topic was recently covered by Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale in an episode of their podcast, "And That's What You REALLY Missed." The two, who portrayed Artie Abrams and Tina Cohen-Chang on "Glee," talked about a scene from Season 3 in which Romy Rosemont's character, Finn Hudson, a football player and member of the Glee Club, is informed by his mother Carole (played by Monteith) that his father passed away from a drug overdose while serving in the US Army. Having struggled with substance misuse throughout his life, Monteith passed away in 2013 after an unintentional overdose. His age was 31. According to Ushkowitz and McHale,

Chelsea missed a host of chances as Championship side Middlesbrough earned a slender advantage in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final at a boisterous Riverside Stadium.

In the first half, Hayden Hackney scored the game's lone goal by extending his body and sliding in an Isaiah Jones cross. Chelsea had 18 shots, just five of which were on goal, and Cole Palmer squandered three good chances as Chelsea lost for the sixth time this year. "It is challenging to discuss our performance," Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, said. "We were not clinical enough, but we did create some opportunities. We have had some opportunities this first half of the season, but we haven't won because we weren't clinical enough; we need to keep working hard." According to data experts Opta, Chelsea, who now hold the 10th position, has wasted 40 major opportunities in the Premier League this season, which is the second-highest amount in the top division.
