The famous Iguazu Falls are located in the Atlantic Forest of Upper Paraná. Brazil's Iguaçu National Park and Argentina's Iguazú National Park are located on opposite sides of the majestic cascades. With more than 2,000 different plant species, the area is home to a wide variety of animals, including the captivating jaguar. Additionally, the location could seem like a part of a wide expanse of living biodiversity to the millions of tourists that visit it each year. However, Iguazú's parks are actually "an island of life in the midst of deforestation" for people who know it well, like Yara Barros. Barros is a biologist who oversees the conservation effort for Brazilian jaguars called Onças do Iguaçu. She says that in the whole 140,000 acres of the Atlantic Forest.
