Following a shooting outside an Edinburgh pub on Hogmanay, a man and a woman have been charged with murder, and a third person has been taken into custody. Just before midnight, two men, Marc Webley, 38, and another man, 39, were shot and killed outside The Anchor Inn on West Granton Road. After the guys were rushed to the hospital by emergency personnel, Mr. Webley was declared dead shortly after they arrived. A man and a woman were taken into custody by Police Scotland in relation to a murder investigation that was initiated. Afterwards, murder charges were brought against Emma McVie, 25, and Grant Hunter, 32. The two Edinburgh natives are also charged with attempted murder, assault causing serious injury, and endangering life.

Marc Webley, 38, was shot just before midnight on New Year's Eve outside The Anchor Inn in Edinburgh. He died later in hospital. Grant Hunter, 32, and Emma McVie, 25, entered no plea to the murder charge when they appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
