British government has begun a new significant endeavor to provide a ‘permanent tribute’ to late Queen Elizabeth II.
The government has begun looking for a team to create a “historic” memorial to honor the late Queen Elizabeth II in a lasting way, according to an AFP report.
The monument will be placed in the expansive St. James’ Park in downtown London.
According to a government statement, the “permanent memorial to the UK’s longest-serving monarch” would be “one of the most significant design projects in recent British history.”
With the Horse Guards Parade and Buckingham Palace on each end, St. James’ Park is the oldest of the royal parks.
