Ten defendants are on trial for allegedly robbing US celebrity Kim Kardashian of jewelry valued at millions of dollars in Paris over ten years ago. A verdict is expected soon.
During Paris Fashion Week in 2016, nine men and one woman are charged with committing or assisting in the armed break-in of £10 million (£7.55 million) worth of jewelry, including a diamond engagement ring.
Four of the men who are accused of committing the heist are facing a 10-year term, while the other five men and a woman are facing sentences of eight to six years for allegedly aiding and abetting the crime.
A verdict is anticipated later in the day. On Friday morning, the defendants made their last statements in court and were dismissed.
