Warner Bros.’s planned Harry Potter revival is setting a new standard for high-budget TV production.
The British daily Express claims that the studio has spent an astounding $100 million on each episode of the series, making it the most costly television program ever produced.
With seven seasons and six episodes apiece, the series is expected to cost an enormous $4.2 billion in total. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which set the previous record with an episode cost of $62 million and a total cost of just over $1 billion, is dwarfed by this sum.
