DUBAI: A small plane crashed off the coast of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates (UAE), killing at least two persons, including a Pakistani pilot.
The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) announced on Sunday that the incident occurred on December 26 and that investigations are being conducted to ascertain its cause.
The 26-year-old Pakistani pilot, Frianza Parveen, perished in the disaster, along with her partner, Sulaymaan Al Majid, a 26-year-old Indian physician.
The pilot’s body will be returned to Pakistan today, according to diplomatic sources.
The private tourism aviation club plane crashed in the ocean while being used for tourism.
