On January 2, 2025, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq formally called an in-camera meeting of committees representing the government and the beleaguered PTI in an effort to ease political tensions in the nation.
The NA speaker said in a statement that Thursday’s meeting between the ruling alliance and the party founded by Imran Khan would take place at Parliament House. It also stated that the important huddle will start at 11 a.m.
The December 23 huddle will be continued at the next meeting.
Since the first round of parleys finished in a positive setting, the PTI will submit its written requests to the government’s negotiation committee at the meeting on January 2.
