The character of Mindy Meeks-Martin will be played by Jasmin Savoy Brown again.
In Scream (2022) and Scream IV (2023), Brown played Mindy with Mason Gooding, who plays her brother Chad.
According to Deadline, Joel McHale has joined the cast as Mark Evans, the husband of Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), in addition to Brown’s comeback. The project is presently being filmed in Atlanta by McHale.
Variety reports that Patrick Dempsey, who portrayed Detective Mark Kincaid in Scream 3, will not be returning to the character in the next film due to McHale’s casting.
Given her husband’s name being “Mark” in earlier movies, people conjectured that Kincaid had wed Prescott. However, according to Entertainment Weekly, Dempsey will not be in Scream 7.
