LAHORE: Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has called the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) recently declared agitation against the ruling party “do or die,” stating that the anti-government protest movement would dictate the party’s future strategy.
“We have ninety days to determine whether or not to engage in politics. Gandapur, Salman Akram Raja, and other speakers at a press conference in Lahore stated, “The [protest] movement will be a do or die [in nature].”
The fiery politician’s comments follow a high-level meeting in the provincial capital the day after the former ruling party officially launched its anti-government campaign, which is expected to reach its “peak” by August 5.
Securing Imran Khan’s release is one among the protest movement’s goals.
