The 26-year-old has become the most talked-about music sensation in the past 12 months. A fiery, flame-haired phenomenon, their melodies are as vibrant as they are unadulterated.
For the second time, her debut album, which was released in 2023 with little fanfare, has topped the UK charts. She is vying for six Grammys, including best new artist, next week. She has also been named BBC Radio 1’s Sound of 2025.
Due to her former record label’s refusal to release several of the tracks that went viral on the charts last year, success has been even more delightful.
