The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), who are strong competitors in Sindh but allies in the Center, exchanged jabs once more after the latter made new accusations against the leadership of the ruling party.
The assertions made by MQM-P leaders Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Mustafa Kamal were rejected by Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab, who also acts as a spokesperson for PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, calling them a “bundle of lies,” according to The News.
At a recent event, Siddiqui, a federal minister, criticized PPP Chairman Bilawal for using a “threatening tone” toward Karachi’s businesspeople.
PPP Chairman Bilawal had encouraged the business community to come to him personally with their complaints during the Sindh government’s luncheon for traders earlier this week.
