After an air force fighter jet crashed into a school in Dhaka on Tuesday, killing 31 people, including at least 25 children, police deployed tear gas to disperse irate pupils who sought explanations from the interim administration.
On Monday, the F-7 BGI Bangladesh Air Force plane crashed into their school and caught fire, trapping students in the flames and rubble as the kids, many of whom were under 12, were heading home from school.
According to the military, there was a mechanical breakdown.
When two government representatives visited the crash site, students from the school and other surrounding colleges demonstrated, yelling, “Why did our brothers die?,” and demanding an accurate death toll. We want answers!
