Saim Ayub, the top-order batsman for Pakistan, has been out for over a month and is anticipated to remain sidelined for at least another month.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released a statement to update cricket fans on the batter, stating that Ayub is making good progress in his recuperation from a fractured right ankle and would continue his rehabilitation in England.
The board stated that Ayub has been ruled out for 10 weeks from the date of injury (January 3) following extensive MRI scans, X-rays, and medical evaluations.
According to the PCB’s announcement, his eligibility for the New Zealand trip is contingent upon passing all medical and fitness tests.
Pakistan will go to New Zealand to play three ODIs and five T20Is.
