MANCHESTER: Real Madrid defeated Manchester City 3-2 in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal match on Tuesday because to a spectacular stoppage-time goal from Jude Bellingham.
Erling Haaland of City scored twice, but Kylian Mbappé and Brahim Díaz also scored for Real.
Joško Gvardiol chested the ball down to the 24-year-old Norwegian, who volleyed into the far corner to give Haaland the lead in the 19th minute. After spectators held their breath throughout a four-minute VAR offside check, the goal was awarded.
In the 60th minute, Kylian Mbappé equalized after bouncing off a free kick and clumsily bobbling the ball against his shin as he fell, before it looped over goalie Ederson and into the net.
