ISLAMABAD According to The News, Pakistan’s textile exports increased 15.85% year over year in January 2025, from $1.477 billion to $1.686 billion, continuing a double-digit growth trend that began in August 2024 and continued until December.
In the first seven months (July-January 2024-25), total textile exports increased 10.6% to $10.77 billion, up from $9.74 billion during the same period the previous year.
While exports of raw materials decreased, indicating a shift toward value-added items, finished goods drove the expansion.
With a 29.3% increase to $468.3 million, knitwear led the way, followed by ready-made clothing, which increased 19.1% to $397 million. Exports of towels increased 6.1% to $101.97 million, cotton fabric 3.35% to $165 million, and bedwear 14.5% to $288.7 million.
