Furqan Masood of Islamabad was the quickest of more than 40 Pakistani runners and diaspora members who competed for their country in the 2025 London Marathon, finishing the course in a remarkable 3 hours, 10 minutes, and 7 seconds.

Furqan Masood’s performance, which was characterized by a steady pace in the beginning and a battle with exhaustion in the end, demonstrated the tenacity of Pakistani amateur athletes competing internationally.
Masood, who runs for the Islamabad Running Club, got off to a fast start, finishing the first 5K in 20:44 and the 10K in 42:09.
