Peshawar: Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, the chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, expressed hope that the blessed month will begin on the same day nationwide, in accordance with national aspirations, as Muslims in Pakistan and overseas await the commencement of Ramadan.
The Ramadan crescent, which will signal the start of the holy month, will be spotted this evening (Friday) in Peshawar by the moon sighting organization headed by Azad.
In order to see the Ramadan moon, the zonal ruet-e-halal committees will also convene separately at their respective offices.
“The testimonies we gather will guide our decision-making process. Speaking on News’ “Pakistan” show, Azad prayed that we start keeping Ramadan on a single day.
