KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) warned that the hot and muggy weather is expected to last for many days as a severe heatwave continued to rage through several parts of Sindh on Tuesday.
The PMD predicts that temperatures in Karachi and other regions of the province will continue to be abnormally high, and that strong winds may blow sporadically today and tomorrow, making the situation even more uncomfortable.
Additionally, the department said that on May 1, a new westerly weather system is expected to move into the country’s higher regions. Up until May 5, this system is predicted to affect weather patterns, possibly delivering a rainy period to some places.
