ISLAMABAD Two judges on Tuesday ruled that the review petitions against the ruling of the Supreme Court, which were filed by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), were inadmissible as the Supreme Court’s constitutional bench began hearing the case.
The top court’s July 12, 2024, ruling that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was entitled to reserved seats was the subject of the review petitions.
The Supreme Court heard the review petitions submitted in the case of the reserved seats from a 13-member constitutional bench led by Justice Aminuddin Khan.
Justices Ayesha Malik and Aqeel Abbasi are the two justices that rejected the review petitions.
