NEW YORK: According to Kari Lake, senior advisor to the US Agency for Global Media (USAGM), the parent company of Voice of America (VOA), the far-right One America News Network will offer “newsfeed services” to VOA and other US government-funded media organizations.
Lake said in a post on X on Tuesday that the network, which regularly presents pro-President Donald Trump programming, would offer its news and video service for no cost.
VOA journalists, many of whom were fired after Trump took office in January as part of his administration’s efforts to reduce the federal payroll and stifle any perceived criticism of his policies, are incensed about the OAN relationship.
