PESHAWAR: According to The News on Sunday, Afghan interim Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi hosted a trilateral conference in Kabul where Pakistan, China, and Afghanistan pledged to deepen their economic ties.
The trilateral meeting on Saturday focused on the economic and security prospects of the area, according to Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Muhammad Sadiq.
According to Sadiq, the summit participants also pledged to improve collaboration in several other areas.
The meeting marked the start of a new round of talks under the framework of the trilateral conversation between China, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, which was created in 2017 to promote political confidence, economic integration, and counterterrorism coordination.
