According to Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) reacted to India’s attack with courage and assurance.
“We took action based on our own judgment and timing. At a press briefing with Vice Admiral Raja Rab Nawaz, Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations), and Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif, Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), he stated, “The leadership was clear and gave us firm instructions.”
He said the PAF targeted the maximum number of Indian Air Force (IAF) airfields in a single mission since 1971. “We avoided civilian damage and hit with great accuracy,” he said.
He went on to say that India was prevented from establishing a “new normal” through aggressive measures by Pakistan’s prompt and efficient response.
