In an important step toward sustainable urban development, the Central Business District (CBD) of Punjab has implemented a novel and eco-friendly rainwater conservation system.
A rainwater collecting lake in Lahore has been successfully constructed, according to officials, and it has the ability to hold up to five million gallons of rainfall.
According to Imran Amin, CEO of CBD Punjab, the lake, which is 20 feet deep and was built in the Quaid District of CBD Lahore, can hold enough water for two significant monsoon seasons. In addition to controlling urban flooding, this project aims to use the rainwater that has been collected for environmental and development projects around the region.
