According to Kamala Harris of AFP, US President Donald Trump demanded Monday a “major investigation” into Beyonce, Bruce Springsteen, and other celebrities, claiming they received millions of dollars to support his Democratic opponent in the 2024 race.
In a tirade devoid of supporting facts, Trump claimed, for example, that Beyonce received $11 million to attend a Harris rally, a claim the Democrat’s team has refuted.
Trump said that such gifts would qualify as unlawful campaign contributions, six months after defeating Harris to win a second term in the White House.
According to the US president, the “Freedom” singer appeared at a Harris event in late October.
