NEW YORK: The administration of US President Donald Trump has taken a drastic step by prohibiting Harvard University from accepting international students.
More than 25% of the university’s student body is impacted by the decision, which represents a significant conflict between Trump and one of the most prestigious universities in the country.
According to Trump, Harvard disregarded regulations and permitted a campus climate that he argues is dangerous for Jewish students and encourages radical ideologies.
Trump is upset that Harvard, which has produced 162 Nobel laureates, has refused to comply with his demands for hiring and admissions monitoring because he believes the university is a breeding ground for “woke” liberal ideology and anti-Semitism.
