Hours before the two parties were scheduled to hold trade negotiations, the EU was warned. In order to give time for negotiations, Trump cut the 20% tariff he had set last month to 10% until July 8.
“Our discussions with them are going nowhere!” Trump stated in a social media post on Friday. He stated that on June 1st, the additional tariffs would go into effect.
