MORRISTOWN: As he looks for an agreement to stop Tehran from acquiring a nuclear bomb, President Donald Trump claimed on Sunday that US negotiators had “very good” talks with an Iranian delegation over the weekend.
At the airport in Morristown, New Jersey, Trump told reporters, “I think we could have some good news on the Iran front,” as he got ready to head back to Washington following a weekend at his golf course in Bedminster.
Trump said that significant progress had been achieved. He didn’t go into detail about the discussions between an Iranian delegation and US special envoy Steve Witkoff in Rome.
“I don’t know if I’ll be telling you anything good or bad over the next two days, but I have a feeling I might be telling you something good,”
