RIYADH: In order to identify the beginning of Zil Hajj 2025, the Islamic month in which Eid ul Adha and Hajj are conducted, the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has advised Muslims around the kingdom to view the crescent moon on the evening of Tuesday, May 27.
The court asked anyone who sees the crescent, whether with binoculars or the unaided eye, to report to the closest court and submit their testimony in a statement released on Sunday.
In order to support this important religious process, the court also promoted involvement in official moon-sighting groups established in different areas.
The eighth day of Zil Hajj marks the start of the Hajj pilgrimage, which continues until the thirteenth day of the month.
