The potential of a full-scale conflict with India is greater than ever, according to Pakistan’s former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, who also emphasized that recent Indian measures have “dangerously lowered the threshold” for military conflict in the region.
Following an attack in Pahalgam, which is part of Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir (IIOJK), tensions between India and Pakistan escalated, prompting his warning.
In an exclusive interview with the New York Post, the 36-year-old chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) thanked Washington for helping to secure a truce.
“The US government, including President Trump and Secretary [of State] Marco Rubio, has played a crucial role in assisting us all in reaching this ceasefire, and for that we are immensely grateful,” Bilawal added.
