President Donald Trump stated he was “less confident” about obtaining a nuclear agreement, while Iran vowed on Wednesday to target US military posts in the area if war breaks out.
Since April, Washington and Tehran have engaged in five rounds of negotiations to finalize a new nuclear agreement to replace the 2015 agreement that Trump renounced during his first term in 2018.
Trump has resurrected his “maximum pressure” campaign against Tehran since taking office again in January, promising military force if nuclear diplomacy fails.
“All its bases are within our reach, we have access to them, and without hesitation we will target all of them in the host countries” .
