After a decision in the Senedd, Wales will outlaw plastic wet wipes in an effort to lessen environmental damage.
Providing consumers with wet wipes that contain plastic will be illegal as of December 2026.
Wales became the first country in the UK to enact the ban after a proposal was approved by all 60 members in a plenary session without any opposition.
Medical-grade wipes will be exempt, and business-to-business transactions are not covered by the prohibition.
