About his oldest son, 18-year-old Abdul Wali, who was killed in an Israeli strike in Iran, Abdul Ghani tells us, “He wasn’t a politician, he was just a teenager, working hard to support our family back home.”
According to his father, Abdul was living and working close to a military building on a construction site in northeast Tehran on Tuesday when the attack occurred.
His father claims that although he escaped the building fall, he passed away in a hospital a few hours later.
Abdul was the primary provider for his family in central Afghanistan and was in Iran on a work visa.
“I am unable to work due to my injury. According to his father, Abdul sacrificed his future in order to bring money home, even though he planned to attend college.
