Defense Minister Khawaja Asif attributed Pakistan’s successes on the international, regional, and economic fronts to the “current hybrid model of governance,” citing the recent stalemate between Islamabad and New Delhi and the strengthening of Pakistan-US relations.
The defense czar was alluding to the results of Pakistan’s military victories in recent conflicts with India as well as the recent, infrequent encounter between Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and President Donald Trump.
“There has never before been an example of a US president inviting and meeting a Pakistani army chief,” Asif wrote in an X post, calling the meeting a “significant milestone.”
