A meeting on the Gadani Ship Breaking Yard project was led by Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, who approved an investment of Rs12 billion to build a state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly ship breaking yard at Gadani.
With an emphasis on cutting-edge infrastructure, environmental preservation, and enhanced safety standards, the minister declared that the current yard will be converted into a Model Green Yard.
A 30-bed hospital, a 32-kilometer road, a school, and a park would also be built as part of the project to benefit the neighborhood, the minister of maritime affairs further disclosed.
To enhance the living and working circumstances of the shipyard workers, labor colonies and clean water supply facilities will also be built.
