On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump praised Field Marshal Asim Munir, whom he just met at the White House, and reaffirmed his position that he prevented the conflict between India and Pakistan, both of whom possess nuclear weapons, from erupting last month.
Speaking at a news conference following his attendance at the annual NATO meeting in the Hague, the US president referred to the conflict between India and Pakistan as the “most important” of all the recent ones, stating that both nations possess nuclear weapons. He concluded by making a number of phone calls over commerce.
“Look if you’re going to go fight each other,” I remarked. It was becoming really awful. Trump stated, “I told you that we will not do trade deals if you are going to go to war with each other.”
